Emily Yoshida is not an actress, but she loves to pretend to be one. She is a graduate of the UCLA School of Film and Television and her sci-fi thesis film, Abigail, made a humble yet well-received festival tour in 2009. In addition to playing Caitlin, she also directed and co-wrote part of Salad Days. She currently works as a freelance writer in Seattle, and writes about life and television on her blog, Don’t Stop Bereaving.

 

Dave HorwitzDave Horwitz as Alex

Dave Horwitz is a writer and performer from right outside Boston, Massachusetts. He lives in Los Angeles and currently writes and maintains the Dealbreaker blog (which is also a book from Running Press), plays drums in The Old Lumps, and writes and performs comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. Anthony KuanAnthony Kuan as Anthony

Anthony Kuan grew up and still lives in San Francisco, California. He met Jeff Mizushima in 2001 while attending the University of California, Santa Cruz. Since then, he has been acting in short films and cameo parts. SALAD DAYS represents his largest acting role to date. He is currently in production on a short film entitled WEEKDAY GIRLS.

She currently works as a freelance writer in Seattle, WA.

 

Hiram Chan Director/Co-writer; Producer

Hiram Chan was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, but shares his upbringing between Hawaii and Southern California. With an interest in films, he got into screenwriting and graduated from the California State University at Long Beach with a major in Film Production. He has worked in production for many independent films and television projects, from music videos to animated television programming. SALAD DAYS is Hiram’s first feature film as a co-writer and director.

 

Jeff Mizushima Director/Co-writer; Producer

Jeff Mizushima is a Southern California native. He attended college as an English major in Santa Cruz aspiring to be a fiction writer. This led to screenwriting in film school at Cal State Long Beach. In 2009, Jeff was named one of Filmmaker Magazine’s 25 New Faces of Independent Film for his first feature, ETIENNE! The film started its festival run in the summer of 2009 and has since won the Filmmaker To Watch award at the CineVegas Film Festival, Best Narrative Film at the Oxford International Film Festival, and 3rd place in the Kids First! Film Festival. Jeff Mizushima currently works as a freelance editor/videographer for his company Cineasta Productions in Los Angeles.

 

David Chien Producer

David Chien lives and works in Los Angeles, California. He attended college at the University of Southern California. Previously, he worked with Jeff Mizushima on ETIENNE! as an associate producer.
